The Internet has not only changed the traditional media ecosystem, but also encouraged more civic engagement that opens the door to politics for younger generations and affects their political attitudes. Growing up in mid-1990s where the World Wide Web (www) was invented, the college students who participated in the Sunflower Movement were referred to as the “Digital Natives” that are both the users and masters of the Internet. Based on the Sunflower Movement through in-depth interviews, observations, and content analysis, this study looks at how the Internet has had an eruptive momentum in such a short time to change the way social movements functions and affect colleges students' political attitudes in a way that they deal with politics with doubts and suspicion. This study also shows how the Internet, young college students, and Sunflower Movement interplay with one another and what impacts they have had on Taiwan's political landscape and how they have changed the way it works.
