However, shipping industry and industrial pulsation global trade and the world economy are closely related. Therefore, how to effectively assess and improve the operating performance of the shipping enterprises, it has become an issue of concern to interested parties of the enterprise itself and the investing public and so on. The study conducts analysis the efficiency of shipping industry operating among China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, over the period of 2009-2013 by using Network Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). The purpose of the study is to measure the operating efficiency of shipping companies listed on the overall (including operations, profitability and market), its findings can provide shipping companies, authorities and the public understand the business before shipping enterprises, as the relevant unit management and investors in the elaboration of reference and resource allocation of decision-making.
