A Study on the Event Image, Destination Image and Satisfaction Rate of Sport Tourism Participants- Take 2015 National Guashan Charity Cup Table Tennis Tournament as the Example

碩士 === 稻江科技暨管理學院 === 休閒遊憩管理學系碩士班 === 104 === This study aims at the event image, destination image and satisfaction levels of participants in 2015 National Guashan Charity Cup Table Tennis Tournament. It also discusses the differences of the event image, the destination image, and the satisfaction rate among those from different backgrounds. The questionnaires were handed out and taken back on March 14th, 2015. Three hundred fifteen copies were handed out and three hundred of them were taken back. The response rate, 95%, was effective. It applies reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, product moment correlation analysis, and regression analysis. The study results suggest as follows: 1. Among the participants in 2015 National Guashan Charity Cup Table Tennis Tournament, the majority were married male at the age between 51 and 60 with bachelor’s degrees, and with NT$30,001 to NT$50,000 average monthly income. They are also players, military and government personnels living in the central area of Taiwan. 2. Obvious differences show in the functionality and empirical variables of the event image of the participants with different statuses. Also distinct differences show in the functionality and the empirical variables of the event image of the participants living in different places of residence. Gender differences of the participants in the tournament have significant differences in the image of empirical variables. 3. Apparent differences show in the tourist atmosphere and the destination attraction variables of the destination image of the participants in different areas of residence. 4. The participants of different genders, statuses, and marital statuses present distinct differences in the player performances of satisfaction rates. 5. The event image has positive influences on the destination image. The destination image and the event image have positive influences on the levels of the satisfaction. 6. There is a positive correlation between the event image and the destination image; there is a positive correlation between the destination image and the satisfaction rate; there is a positive correlation between the event image and the satisfaction rate. Based on the study result described above, when the participants have good impression of the event image, including functional, empirical, and symbolical, the destination image and the satisfaction level will increase. Therefore, it is suggested that host units hold tournaments by using the study result as a reference.
