Don’t worry, everything is going well.” _《Party Without Tears》 I''m not good at handling interpersonal relationships, especially when it comes to judge a book while you can only see its cover. It’s almost impossible to determine whether a person’s trustworthy or to know the complicated aspects about him, such as his personality, characteristics, and what he values merely by his outlook. I have been feeling frustrated and troubled from such unsuccessful social activities my whole life, so I respond to this kind of life experience through my art project. During the process of social interactivities, the eye contacts are the first clue that I acquire to judge a person. I would like to express my social frustration by conveying the eyes contacts, and try to transform the abstract, intangible eye contacts into the object of art creation. This thesis comprises four chapters: 1. Creative motivation and purpose 2. Discusses literature 3. Works analysis 4. Comparative reflections Keywords: sensory sensations, eye contact, empathy, portraits, illusion, self, examine, woodcut Hsi-Chuan Liu 劉錫權 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 42 zh-TW
