Description
Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 機械與機電工程學系碩士班 === 104 === Heat pipes have been considered as promising means for effective heat transfer in energy transport and storage systems in a medium-high temperature range, such as concentrated solar thermal energy systems and waste heat recovery. But up to now there is no relevant design and manufacturing technology, This preliminary study manufacturing a high-temperature heat pipe for their application to concentrating solar power (CSP) systems with stirling engine. Experiments were conducted to investigate the thermal performance of the heat pipe for input power 800 W. The container and mesh wick were made of stainless and the working fluid was sodium. The length and diameter of the heat pipe was 420 mm and 32mm, respectively. Experimental results show that a liquid fill charge of 38.13 g (20%) exhibited the least thermal resistance among four different fill charge ratios. The results were analyzed in terms of thermal resistance against time and operating temperature.
