Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 土木工程系土木與防災碩士班(碩士在職專班) === 104 === The application of BIM (Building Information Modeling) has become the most critical and useful tool for construction management during the construction phase of construction project. The utilization of 2D-based shop drawings for interface discussion implementation is the conventional approach for general contractor to handle interface discussion implementation in practice. However, there are still many difficulties in the communication among the participants using 2D-based shop drawings. Therefore, this study proposes a interface discussion implementation approach for general contractors integrated with BIM technology. Furthermore, the proposed approach can enhance the effective performance of interface discussion implementation integrated with BIM technologies. The proposed system is then applied in selected case study of a building project in Taiwan to verify our proposed methodology and demonstrate the effectiveness of practical proposed approach in Taiwan. The advantage of the proposed system in the study lies not only in improving utilization of interface discussion implementation approach for general contractors, but also in facilitating visual communication effectiveness in the construction management. Finally, this study identifies the benefits, limitations, and conclusions and suggestions are summarized for further applications.
