Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 土木工程系土木與防災碩士班 === 104 === Tuned mass damper is an effective device to control the vibration structures. A tuned mass damper whose frequency is tuned with respect to the natural frequency of a bridge is installed in the bridge, which pressed the vibration of the bridge effectively. In the study, firstly, we investigated dynamic behavior of a simply supported beam with a tuned mass damper under different external forces. Secondly, we proposed different models, which simulate pedestrian-induced loads and applied them to a light-weight steel truss bridge. Finite element software was used to analyze the bridge dynamic behavior. The comparison between the numerical and experiment results enabled us to understand if the vibration of the pedestrian bridge due to the pedestrian walking can be effectively model. In addition, we designed a long-span lightweight steel truss bridge to meet the need of disaster relief. According to the studies on the parametric optimization of tuned mass dampers, we designed a tuned mass damper for the long-span bridge. Finally, we investigated the effectiveness of vibration suppression of the long-span bridge with the optimized tuned mass damper subjected to pedestrian loads.
