Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 製造科技研究所 === 104 === Today there are many ways to manufacture the composite. Due to the different industry, the specification and the outward appearance are different. It is important to use appropriate manufacturing ways to get relevant quality or increase the cost. Therefore, the purpose of this experiment is to understand how this two manufacturing way「Hot compression molding」and「 Vacuum assisted resin transfer molding」compare this two techniques and find the best manufacturing way. The course of the study is to understand the resin characteristics and use same resin to manufacture the composite panel in two methods hot compression molding and Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding. This two methods design their own manufacturing parameters. The panels are design in different layers(5、10、15 layer), different viscosity (2000、1500、1000cps),different fiber volume content(35%、40%、45%)separately. In order to do the flexural and impact experiment test, we need to produce the test specimens according to American Society for Testing and Materials D790 and D256. Finally to get mechanical data to discuss the difference between this two process. The research shows reducing viscosity will improve the mechanical properties both Flexural and Impact data. Especially in hot compression molding, the lower viscosity give the resin better flow in the layer. In resin content 35%, adding 5% reactive diluent improve the impact energy 24.8%. Furthermore, for resin content 45%, both manufacturing’s specimens have the similar mechanical properties. Indicating that we can use either hot compression molding or Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding for resin content 45% specimens. Finally, the strength of vacuum assisted resin transfer molding are higher than hot compression molding. Due to the vacuum assisted resin transfer molding’s capillaries force is better than hot compression molding, it makes the resin cover the fiber more even and get better mechanical properties.
