Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 經營管理系碩士班 === 104 === This study investigate the relation between corporate social responsibility (CSR) and financial performance, and the mediating effect of foreign investors in Taiwan stock market. Since Taiwan government made the market open to foreign investors, the foreign investment have played an important role after 1996. The corporate social responsibility (CSR) issues have been treated as a portion of financial performance by foreign investors. The debt crisis has occurred in US and some countries of Europe such as Greek recently and how the enterprise cope with this debt crisis became an important topic. Prior scholars put lots of efforts to explore the relationship between CSR and corporate financial performance (CFP) by utilizing financial statistics. However, it is lack of empirical study about the whole financial environment and discussing its impact with foreign investment. This study examines the relationship between CSR and CFP through discussing the mediating effect of foreign investment by using hierarchical regression during the financial crisis. The results illustrated that mediating effect of foreign investment existed between CSR and CFP especially during the period of financial tsunami. It is obviously that, enterprise invested in CSR ordinarily were emerged when financial tsunami coming.
