To give both buck and boost function, it needs to add a boost converter in front of DC/AC inverter or add a transformer after DC/AC inverter. Both will increase cost and control difficulty. The design specifications are input DC voltage of 125V and 250V, output AC voltage of 110V/50Hz, total power rating of 1000 W, and switching frequency of 20 kHz. The voltage controller of this system is proportional-resonant controller to provide stable output voltage and fast dynamic response. A digital signal processor is used as control platform.
