When the number of virtual machines needed grows, however, efficiency becomes a concern as virtual machine creation is both time- and resource- consuming. In this paper, we propose a method to improve the situation. First, OpenStack is replaced with Docker as the latter is comparatively faster in creating virtual machines. Secondly, a more efficient algorithm is developed for virtual machines’ creation scheduling. Thirdly, we build a user interface through Docker Remote API so that the administrator can directly manage the virtual machines on STF-CTP.
