As the number of smartphones available for testing grows, not only does the registration of smartphone become more tedious, but the management of smartphone environment is also time- and manpower- consuming. To cope with this situation, a monitoring program is implemented for collecting the information of the smartphones automatically. The program uses an Android Application to transmit data through Socket to the monitor client on the smartphone for performing the registration, thereafter the monitor client can notify STF-CTP to retrieve the latest smartphone data and smartphone list. The result of a real application shows that the automated smartphone registration and monitoring effectively resolves the aforementioned time- and manpower- consuming problem.
