Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 有機高分子研究所 === 104 === In this study, the Cu/Ag-Core/Shell-nanofibers (Cu/Ag-Core/Shell-NFs) were successfully prepared using the electrospun process (ES process) and electroless plating method. Such Cu/Ag-Core/Shell-NFs can be applied in transparent conductive electrodes of optoelectronics. The two important factors of the TCE are the transmittance and the sheet resistance, respectively. The TCE plays an important role in the display and the solar cell industry. Currently, ITO film is commonly used as substrate of the TCE in the industry. The cost of the Indium is high and its mechanical property is brittle, resulting on its limited application. On the other hand, the copper nanofibers (Cu-NWs) were considered to replace the ITO as the material of TCE, because of its low cost and flexibility. However, the previous literature indicated that notable defects of Cu-NWs were poor thermal stability and easy oxidation, which hindering its practical application.
In our study, converting the silver on ES Cu-NFs can decrease the sheet resistance of the transparent conductive electrodes and prevent oxidation at the short time. At the first, a continuous ES Cu-NFs were prepared using the ES process, which contains three different morphology of nanofibers (non-woven, aligned, corssed type). Then, Cu/Ag-Core/Shell-NFs were fabricated using electroless plating method. Because the silver coated on the copper, it could prevent the copper not to oxidation. It caused that the sheet resistance value of Cu-NFs was improved at the short time. Thus, the Ag-shell-layer protected Cu nanofibers against oxidize, and enhanced the conductivity. The various metal nanofibrous webs exhibited differences in conductivity, and were ranked as follows: nonwoven type&;gt; crossed type &;gt; aligned type, but the rank on transmittance was conversed. The aligned nanowire networks exhibited high transmittance above 80%, but nonwoven ones had low sheet resistance under 102 Ω/sq. The present study demonstrated that TCE based on Cu/Ag-core/shell nanofibrous webs showed great transparency and conductivity, which can be applied in display and solar cell in the future.
In summary, we successfully fabricated the novel Core/Cu-Shell/Ag-NFs by combining electrospinning processing technology and electroless plating method. Such novel Core/Cu-Shell/Ag-NFs showed the high conductivity and maintained excellent transparency. In the future, it can be applied to the transparent electrode and the solar cell.
