Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 建築與都市設計研究所 === 104 === With increasing population density driven by urban’s rapid growth, urban morphology has experienced a transformation switching to high-rise high-density, leading to exacerbating urban heat island, which deteriorates environment and discomforts pedestrians. Taiwan is located in an area featuring hot and humid subtropical climate, which cultivated a proprietary regional style of arcade sheltering from rain and wind, and offering a more comfortable semi-open area for pedestrians. With the prevailing global trends of architecture design, arcade, a regional architecture style in Taiwan, is gradually replaced by sidewalk, thereby bringing greater challenges to pedestrians comfort. The important strategy of shaping Taiwan features is the application of Taiwan's unique arcade to the modern high-rise building planning.
This study takes Farglory Kyoto Community as the example. Arcades in three varied sizes are compared: In Case 1, height-to-width ratio (H/W) =1.25; Case 2(H/W=1.54); Case 3(H/W=0.75). At summer and winter 2015 chose one day each season to field measurement of wind speed, temperature and humidity with Testo 480 physical environment measuring instrument and AVIO Thermo GEAR G100EXD infrared imaging instrument, combined with ANSYS Fluent v16 computer simulation software, the data will get it into RayMan v1.2 calculated physiological equivalent temperature (PET) for outdoor environmental comfort analysis. Hoping to analyze the best H/W of arcade the in subtropical climate.
