Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 建築與都市設計研究所 === 104 === With the rapid development of urbanization, urban green space and agricultural land are consumed. Cities are short of green landscape. The population density of Taipei is the highest in Taiwan, and the traffic flow is colossal. In the middle stage of quick urbanization, bottleneck effect is conspicuous, and the new development in urban is forced to be connotative and intensive. In addition, the traditional farming in city is restricted considerably. In this case, vertical farm would be a possible choice. Vertical farm combines agriculture and construction, and break the existing concept of conflict between farm and urban. Furthermore, it introduces the landscape with manufacturability into city, and provides a whole new green space to the future metropolis.
This research is based upon Happiness Community in Shihlin District of Taipei City. Shihlin District is the administrative division with the least green area in Taipei City. However, Happiness Community, a community with greenish is hiding in this district which is in lack of afforested areas. Therefore, the residents in Happiness Community are selected to be the object of study. The related references, field work and interview were organized, and the requirement of residents toward vertical farm was realized, additionally, the cognition and attitude of 226 residents toward vertical farm promotion was analyzed by SPSS. The result was viewed as basis of construction of vertical farm, and an appropriate vertical farm in the community and household was designed. Finally, a moveable vertical farm in modular unit was implemented. The following is the research result.
1. After analyzing the questionnaire, we can find that most residents are partial to activity 92.3% in the matrix plot about the cognition and attitude. The sense of identity towards benefit from vertical farm, acceptability, and efforts they are willing to pay are relative higher.
2. The survey shows the residents think that it should be easy to maintain the planting box (29.9%) and the plants (29.8%). Moreover, the design of structural frame should be corrosion resistance, acid resistant (27.6%), and stable (23.4%). This result is viewed as the reference while design.
3. The result of questionnaire is integrated into the design of vertical farm. Landscaping, increasing amusement and promoting quality of life are viewed as design consideration to design an appropriate moveable vertical farm in modular unit.
4. It is expected that moveable vertical farm in modular unit can be promoted to every community and household, reaching the idea with low carbon and health and construct an ecological community.
