Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 車輛工程系所 === 104 === For electric vehicles and fuel cell vehicles technology development, zinc-air fuel cell has great potential since it has high power density property. Based on the former researchers framework in AVPSL, this study focus on designing a high power density zinc-air fuel cell stack to breakthrough the single-cell’s limit of output current and output power. Focusing on the factors which can affect the performances of the cells, such as the current collector materials, the refilling mechanism of Zn particles, and the mechanism of the cell, we find out the best parameter of single cells by analyzing the I-V polarization curves and AC impedance analysis.
Zn particles are made from 20g Zn powder and 45wt% KOH electrolyte. Fuel cell stack is made from three fuel cells in series. The result show copper plates have better performance on current collecting than nickel sheet under the bulk current. The use of copper plate can prevent the appearance of large quantities of H_2 bubbles which are produced by the chemical interaction between nickel and Zn particles. Currently, the maximum power of stack is 30.3W; the current density is 537.51mA/cm^2, the power density is 420.30mW/cm^2, the corresponding voltage is 2.34V.
