Transmission loss (TL) is a common parameter to describe the acoustic performance of a muffler. Experimental methods are studied in this study in order to establish a more accurate transmission loss measuring platform. Some simple structure muffler are measured and compared with other paper. Both white noise and swept sine method are investigated and compared to measure transmission loss by two source method.
