According to the enhancement of the lightness and life span and the decrease of production cost, the need of the LED applications has been booming. As to the increasing need of LED, the mass production is expected. However, the LED industry focuses on the micro-manufacturing these years. The situation could have an impact on LED Lead Frame manufacturing process and quality control.   The LED Lead Frames are currently examined by visual inspection with binocular microscope, and then implement a comprehensive examination for the products with defect spots. However, this method could be time-consuming and the examination could be different by personal judgment. Also, the method could make the tired eyes of the inspectors and cause extra loss.   This research is to introduce the Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) to replace visual inspection to implement the examination. In addition, the results was analyzed by six sigma DMAIC, which was to improve the misjudgment of AOI. Furthermore, the causes of misjudgment were collected and analyzed by quality control, and then had discussion and verification. Finally, the standard procedure manual was edited based on improvement in each case.
