The purposes of this study were to understand the relationship of leisure participation, job involvement and job burnout for the teachers of elementary school in Tainan City. The research adopted questionnaire survey as its method. The initial steps were reading and organizing literature reviews. Then, the questionnaire was draw up from those studies to understand the relationship of leisure participation, job involvement and job burnout for the teachers among elementary school in Tainan City. The survey was conducted with a sampling of 735 teachers from public elementary schools of Tainan City in year 2015. A total of 646 valid questionnaires were received. The statistic software SPSS was used to approach descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, factor analysis, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffé post comparison, Pearson product-moment correlation, regression analysis and other statistical methods. Results of this research are concluded as follows.
1. Elementary school teachers’ leisure participation reached the medium level.
2. Elementary school teachers’ job involvement reached the medium level.
3. Elementary school teachers’ job burnout reached between the medium and low level.
4. There are significant differences in teachers’ job involvement. The variables include gender and age.
5. There are significant differences in teachers’ job burnout. The variable includes gender、age and educational level.
6. Elementary school teachers’ leisure participation correlated positively with their job involvement
7. There was a negative relationship between elementary school teachers’ leisure participation and their job burnout.
8. There was a negative relationship between elementary school teachers’ job involvement and their job burnout.
9. Elementary school teachers’ leisure participation can effectively predict their job involvement and job burnout.
