碩士 === 大仁科技大學 === 文化創意產業研究所 === 104 === Buskers and Their Role in Shaping Kaohsiung's Cultural Image Hsiu-Chiung Lin Abstract This study is based on the concepts of buskers , the most important assets of our city culture image .Assets of art need continuous improvement and sharing, and then it can be infused into daily life of people, and improve Kaohsiung's city image. When we try to understand how buskers can create city culture image, in the meanwhile, we can find the values of Kaohsiung's buskers and difficulties of busker's marketing. We wish future Kaohsiung's city could have more culture image with buskers. We hope Kaohsiung's city image can be changed from culture desert into ocean city by means of buskers and street performance. Let people of Kaohsiung's city have surprise often and have no boring of life. In this study,we use ways of literature review ,field work and in-depth interview and qualitative research to assemble and analyze data. We find Kaohsiung's city image can be activated with buskers and street performance. Kaohsiung can attract more tourist and create value of tourism business with buskers and street performance. Accordingly, based on the findings of the related research, this study provides the suggestions as following: 1. Obtaining license of buskers should be more easy in Kaohsiung city. 2. Street performance is the most important assets of our city culture image, so Kaohsiung city government should care buskers very much. 3. Resources of Kaohsiung city government and civil organizations must be integrated more often. 4. Location of show of street performance should be promoted more. 5. Encourage people of Kaohsiung's city to support buskers and appreciate values of street performance. Keywords：city culture image, busker,tourism business , street performance
