Summary: | 碩士 === 南臺科技大學 === 休閒事業管理系 === 104 === The purpose of this study was to explore students’ leisure involvement, flow experiences and happiness towards their participation in handicrafts clubs. Moreover, the influences of demographics on these three variables were also examined. The study sample was consisted of vocational high school students in Tainan City who participate in handicrafts clubs. A total of 340 questionnaires were distributed and that resulted in 326 valid responses. Data collected were analyzed using frequencies, descriptive analysis, factor analysis, independent t-test, one way ANOVA, reliability, and multiple stepwise regression analysis. The findings are as follows: 1. Participants of handicrafts clubs are mostly female students. 2. Participants’ leisure involvement, flow experiences and happiness differed depending on their grade, practice time and parents’ attitudes. 3. Participants’ leisure involvement was predictive of flow experiences and happiness, with attraction the most powerful predictor. 4. Participants’ flow experiences were predictive of happiness, with autotelic experiences the most powerful predictor. Accordingly, some recommendations were provided for practitioners and other researchers.
