Summary: | 碩士 === 南臺科技大學 === 企業管理系 === 104 === Many companies know that the increment of inventory can improve the quality of business services and increase the consumer demand. But it also significantly increase the inventory cost. In the aspect of the material management, herein, the goal of these companies is how to appropriately control the inventory quantity to minimize the total cost. In addition, the material management must also consider that many products are deterioration items. Therefore, in this research, we propose a new EPQ (Economic Production Quantity) inventory model for deterioration items under the considerations of stock-out cost and the timing of promotion.
In this thesis, we create an algorithm for the material management and give some examples to proof that our inventory model is practical. Finally, based on Taguchi Method, we deduce that the most influential factors for our model are productivity, demand rate, and set-up costs. But, the effect of both factors of promotion strategies and deterioration items are not notable.
