Not only is it easy to carry but also easy to use and it has cosmetic results. Facemask is composed of essence and mask paper material. The essence consists of whitening ingredients and auxiliary components. The deployment of essence has to be careful. If the component proportions are inappropriate, it will lead to increased quality costs. The purpose of this study is to use the method of mixture experimental design to search the ingredients recipe of the essence. We find the best process parameters and components proportions. The measured quality characteristics is "viscosity" of the essence. The components of the mixture are Carbopol® 980, Keltrol CG-SFT XANTHAN GUM, and CO-1698PT. These components have bounds on their proportions. Two process variables are stirring speed and stirring time of the machine. The research optimizes the model of quality characteristics using mixture experimental design based on the above conditions. By the mixture experimental design, the research improves essence viscosity of face mask. The best "viscosity" quality of 5000 is achieved. The proportion parameters of Carbopol® 980, Keltrol CG-SFT XANTHAN GUM, and CO-1698PT are 0.22, 0.2937, and 0.4863 respectively. The product conforming rate is increased approximately 60.46%.
