Under the circumstances of college students can't find a job after the graduation, and the financial crisis in 2009, we ask ourselves what magazine media can do for the situation, the youngsters, and how to make our dreams into reality. My Plus was born in such circumstances, hoping to build an impact on the youngsters.
Myplus has the responsibility of giving college students useful information, and unlike other magazines, The content of Myplus is based on the world, life and future, along with special reports which strengthen the connection with news. It provides the latest life information, trends, activities in campus and occupation information. It hopes to value up its readers' life, learning and working. The printiry process includes planning, editing meeting, interview, submitting articles, imposition, revision, photos and pictures editing, design, engraving, blueprint, colored sample, printing, binding, publishing. The process is all set. Myplus is a monthly magazine, so the whole process takes 30 days.
The target of Myplus is college students in Taiwan, and the publishing date is the first day of every month. Myplus is not published during winter and summer vacation which are January, February, July and August. The publishing strategy is based on 4P principle, including product, price, place and promotion. Myplus is not promoted just as a magazine, but also as a platform and brand. Except for publishing Myplus magazine and maintaining the social media, Myplus’s business also includes campus activities, campus speech, student service and integrated marketing. The channel involves national chain bookstores (Eslite, KingStone, SteppingStone, Books.com and more), specific colleges (Employment Counseling Section, office of the department, Student Association of the Department), free to delivery at the school carnival, graduation party, week of continuing education, sport competitions, speech and other activities, and cooperating with different kind of brands and holding the activities.
This research begins from " Printiry process" and " Publishing strategy". From participating the production and the 2-time revision, we hope to give a rough framework of how to edit and publish a college magazine, and analyze the producing process and readers to be a reference for other magazine medias in Taiwan.
