To focus on the workplace, LinkedIn, a social platform that can let people connect professional contacts comes from this. When we talk about publicist and contacts, it has an indivisible relationship between them, as a professional social platform, it makes us be curious about how publicist can be used in the workplace, and this will bring what kind of influence on managing contacts. The key point of that is the way to maintain contacts, then, obtain the opportunity to service and successfully expand contacts zone in the workplace. Therefore, this research plans to discuss some contents from weak tie theory and take LinkedIn as an example, as follows: firstly, how publicists promote communication of their interpersonal relationship on LinkedIn, secondly, what functions the platform has to help us obtain the opportunity to service in the workplace, thirdly, it can bring what kind of influence and play what forms of role in the face of transforming occupation. This research proceeds to take LinkedIn as an example to make a qualitative research for collecting data by designing a semi-structured interview outline and having an in-depth interview. From having an in-depth interview with seven interviewees who have long-time using experience on LinkedIn, we can find things as follows: firstly, LinkedIn can show professional degree on maintaining commercial interactions, secondly, LinkedIn can find key person to connect different contacts network, thirdly, the weak tie of LinkedIn can provide information about transforming occupation.
