Summary: | 碩士 === 世新大學 === 資訊管理學研究所(含碩專班) === 104 === The purpose of the study is to investigae the high grade elementary students’ smartphone usage behavior, smartphone addiction and parent-child interaction. Not only to investigate the correlation between the three above, but also compare the different variables students at the high grade elementary students’ smartphone usage behavior, smartphone addiction and parent-child interaction.
The study used the questionnaire survey method and total 586 sets of valid samplings were retrieved. The samplings data were analyzed by descriptive statistic, chi-square test, independent samples t test, one-way Anova of variance, Pearson product moment correlation coefficient and simple regression analysis.
The result of the study represents that the utility rate of smartphone are common for elementary school students. According to the data, nearly 85 percent of children use smartphone and 55 percent of children have their own smartphone. Most students started to use smartphone because they feel boring or they are eager to. Over 30 percent of students use smartphone over one hour everyday. Therefore, it reveals that using the smartphone has been getting more popular with younger agers. For most students, they do not know clearly their smartphone expenses; furthermore, parents are their main contact people. Playing games is their major purpose for using the smartphone. Therefore, the entertaining function is becoming the main concer for using the smartphone. Nearly 60 percent of parents set up the limitation for children to use smartphone; however, 35 percent of parents do not interfere with children using smartphone. Simutanelous, only 5 percent of parents guide their children to use smartphone correctly. To sum up, the situation of smartphone addiction and the parent-child interaction are receptable. According above-mentioned points, the parent-child have the positive relation with smartphone addiction, but there is weaker relation directly to the parent-child interaction. Increasing the time of parent-child interaction will decrease the risks of children smartphone addiction.
The study suggests that parents need to pay more attention to male children for using smartphone. The best way is to increase the time of parent-child interaction.
