This study used questionnaire method and the test samples were members at the headquarters of Coast Guard Administration. 278 questionnaires were distributed and 242 questionnaires returned. After deducting 26 invalid questionnaires, there were 216 effective samples and the effective response rate was 89.26%. The data were then analyzed with SPSS and have the following results: 1. When controlling demographic variables, the overall “work values” of the members of the Coast Guard Administration has significant positive effect on the overall “organizational commitment”. 2. When controlling demographic variables, the “accomplishment and safety” facet under “work values” of all members of the Coast Guard Administration, regardless of occupational categories, has significant positive effect on the overall “organizational commitment”. 3. When controlling demographic variables, only the “independence and creativity” facet under “work values” of civil officials has significant positive effect on “organizational commitment”, while no significant effect was shown regarding military and police officers of the Coast Guard Administration. 4. When controlling demographic variables, the “human relations and feedback” facet under “work values” of all members of the Coast Guard Administration, regardless of occupational categories, has no significant effect on the overall “organizational commitment”. 5. When controlling demographic variables, the overall “job involvement” of the members of the Coast Guard Administration, regardless of occupational categories, has significant positive effect on the overall “organizational commitment”.
