Description
Summary:碩士 === 東吳大學 === 經濟學系 === 104 === With the rapid development of the economy and advance of science and technology, it is bring us more conveniently and good quailty of life, but environmental pollution and greenhouse-gas emission are the main reason lead to global warming. How to make GDP steady growth and environment-friendly at the same time, it is the main issue. The main purpose of this thesis is to use dynamic data envelopment analysis (DEA), and using DEA-solver Professional 9.0 software, under Slack-Based Measure (SBM) non-oriented dynamic model to evaluate and compare productivity performance in 34 countries of OECD, during 2007 to 2012, because New-Zealand’s data are incomplete, we analyze productivity performance of 33 countries. This empirical thesis, inputs are real Gross capital formation, Labor, and total primary energy consumption, outputs are real GDP and CO2 emissions. We use real GDP and CO2 emissions as carry-over to link next year, measure productivity performance between inputs and outputs, although a lot of essays are studying environmental performance and energy efficiency in other literatures, but we use dynamic SBM to measure environmental performance, it is the different to others. The results show as below: 1.The number of countries have the best environmental performance are 10, 13, 15, 16, 14, and 14 during 2007 to 2012, we can get OECD countries is relatively inefficiency in 2007 and 2008, the main reason is Financial crisis. 2.The rank 1 of environmental performance country names are Denmark, Estonia, Ireland, Luxembourg, Norway, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States during 2007 to 2012. 3.Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, and Korea have environmental inefficiency during 2007 to 2012.
