To cope with an increasingly competitive environment, the imaging-based barcode reader due to the technical threshold and falling prices, as well as more convenient data acquisition and application, has officially beyond laser-based 1D barcode readers. Information processing systems continue to advance with the times, the new scanner accepted internationally 2D barcode specifications, but also 1D barcodes. To optimize ERP and benefits of supply chain management system, 2D barcode system software programs can be adjusted with the demand. These let logistics industry turn 1D barcode system into a 2D barcode system easier. This study investigated the critical success factors of logistics industry that import 2D barcode system, discussed by literature, to construct hierarchical structure of the key success factors. There are four dimensions and nineteen key factors. Then survey by using AHP, these factors will be sorted according to their overall weight, showing facets in order of importance and a key factor in order of importance, and to help the logistics industry as a barcode system selection of decisions. The results show that the important factors in the top six in order, is “Executives have committed to the project for barcode”, “Cross-Functional Collaboration”, “Instant information”, “The supply chain with the use of a 2D barcode system”, “Clear project objectives” and “Specific estimation of project’s process and cost”. Finally, we give some useful suggestions for government agencies, manufacturers of bar code equipment and logistics industry to help the logistics industry Implement of 2D barcode system successfully based on the results of this study.
