Summary: | 碩士 === 實踐大學 === 工業產品設計學系碩士班 === 104 === This study aims to investigate the problems emerging from the product experiences of pet cats and their owners to enhance the wider application of the cat food bowl,solve problems faced by owners when feeding pet cats,and improve pet owners’ efficiency of cleaning pets’ utensils to enable pet cats to always have clean food utensils and thus maintain their optimum health. First,current products in the market were researched and functionally defined; they were then analyzed for their materials and sizes. The study used semi-structured surveys and interviews to identify the problems; furthermore,the TRIZ theory was used for a matrix analysis to select a detailed and appropriate solution among the following four types: (1) segmentation principle; (2) separation principle; (3) asymmetry principle; and (4) disposable principle. These four principles are expected to assist consumers in choosing their required accessories and items according to their individual habits and free selection. The results revealed that the newly designed cat food bowl adopted in this study is more advanced than those currently available in the market. It is hoped that the research and innovation from this project will assist designers when they think of and innovate similar pet products in the future.
