Urea is a main indicator of kidney function and metabolism of protein, which is used to monitor body’s functions. In this study, the electrochemical sensing material reticulated nickel hydroxide is prepared by hydrothermal method and mixed with ethyl cellulose, then coating in gold line become the working electrode. The differential pulse voltammetry way is to detect content of urea. The properties of nickel hydroxide and structure are characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), fourier transform infrated spectroscopy (FT-IR) and X-ray diffraction analyzer (XRD). Addition of 0.01M potassium ferricyanide and 1M KCl (Potassium chloride) as solvent to prepare varions concentrations of urea from 0.1 mM to 50 mM. When the voltage is applied to 0.18 V, the R square are 0.9746. When the voltage is applied to 0.62 V, the R square, detect limit, response time, and recovery time are 0.9471, 0.1 μM, 17 s and 1 s, respectinly. The concentration of urea in normal human body is between 7 and 20 mg/dl (1.1 mM~3.3 mM) per liter, and uremic patient is more than 21.4 mM. In this study, concentration of urea can meet the requirements, in addition this material is benefit to develop biomedical sensor. WU,REN-JANG 吳仁彰 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 98 zh-TW
