R not only provides many convenient functions for general purpose works, there are also a lot of useful packages for specific application such as financial engineering, text mining and business intelligence. Quantmod is a package for finance application. Quantmod make many works easier for users, such as collecting finance data, drawing stock chart, calculating rate of return, investment strategy testing and many more finance functions. In this study, we provide more detailed explanation and examples for who are interested to use Quantmod package.
