This is a survey research design. We use the “Protective social workers’ personal safety, liability risks, and coping questionnaire” as the study instrument for data collection in one of the six municipalities in Taiwan. Finally, we receive 51 valid samples from most of the protective social workers in the sampled city. We use descriptive statistics, t test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson correlation for data analysis. According to study findings, we summarized the following conclusions. Although the salary of protective social workers is higher than general social workers, work loading and occupational risks of the protective social workers are also more than the other general social workers. The most common occupational risk of protective social workers is verbal attacks and emotional threats. Now the institution which hiring protective social workers provide educations regularly, personal safety training, helping litigation, giving portable preventing violence items, secure work environments. Protective social workers who encounter occupational risks adopt protection and self-defense rather than radical and attack action. Body safety responses of protective social workers are significant with compensatory system. Protective social workers’ occupational risks are significant with helping litigation.
