Summary: | 碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 西班牙語文學系 === 104 === Pragmatics is one of the popular linguistic subjects nowadays. In recent years, many scholars study Speech Acts and discover ways to appropriately use the requests in the different countries in terms of different cultures. For these reasons, this thesis discusses and analyzes the application of Speech Acts of Request based on the native speakers of Spanish and Chinese.
To do so, the thesis is divided into several sections. First of all, the introductory section refers to the motivation and the purposes of this academic work. Secondly, we are going to draw an outline regarding the theories of Speech Acts and Speech Acts of Request in Chapter One. Thirdly, we commence to talk about the theory of Cross-Cultural Study of Speech Act Realization Patterns in Chapter Two. Moreover; we would like to demonstrate collected data for analyzing the consequences of them. In addition, we explain the similarities and differences of these two groups of students in Chapter Three.
Eventually, we make a simple review concerning the theory of Speech Acts of Request. Mostly important, we would like to put emphasis upon the results and discuss whether the hypothesis is confirmed or not. On the other hand, we could point out the feasible directions regarding the field via the thesis in the future.
