Further explore the Alkyl polyglucoside surfactant replacement polysorbate-20 through the particle size and caffeine penetration. In the result of particle size, solubility and percutaneous absorption. Caprylic/ Capric Triglyceride is most suitable to produce microemulsion. Microemulsions prepared by Alkyl Polyglucoside surfactant and polyglycerol ester surfactant which have smaller particle size than Alkyl polyglucoside emulsion. Particle size is between 100nm and 297nm. Penetration of caffeine solution, Alkyl Polyglucoside emulsions, Alkyl Polyglucoside microemulsion and polysorbate-20 microemulsion are 0.425 mg/cm2·hr, 0.493 mg/cm2·hr, 0.618 mg/cm2·hr and 0.607 mg/cm2·hr respectively.
