Description
Summary:碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 生態人文學系 === 104 === This study identified the spiral growth model of Phoenix hanceana. Following the Fibonacci sequence 5/13 phyllotaxy. The pinnate-leaf grows clockwise or counterclockwise from the top at 137.5°(golden angle), leaving obvious 13 swirl marks on trunk. In addition, some plants changes the spiral direction. A survey of 1,340 plants was conducted, accounting for about a third of the plant. Female / male ratio of 1.09, L / D-ratio of 1.00, height 75.6839.08cm cm, highest 206cm, maximum 76 layers spiral pattern layer (reckoning age 48 years); chest circumference 98.0316.26cm cm, chest circumference maximum 138cm. By the "height" and "residual petiole spiral pattern layers" parameter when old age class structure showing all circumstances "bell-left shaped", showing that ethnic and finer plants mostly belong to a younger population structure. Dioecious Phoenix hanceana is cantharophilous, and the pollinator is one kind of Nitidulidae beetle. The specific beetle survives in the plants before the plants blossom; in the anthesis, both of larva and imago lives on the pollen. It can be surmised that the pollinator is attracted by hormone, but further findings needs careful experiment or observation. The fruit drops under female plants was eaten by rodents, and the Scolytinae beetles spawned in seeds to breeding for generations. Several tiny holes were found on the fruit drops and seeds, after that, 2,862 imagos drilled from 200 seeds. They could eat all of the seeds in fruit drops. On the basis of video recording, this study found that Pycnonotus sinensis, effective seed dispersers of Phoenix hanceana, live on black epicarp of Phoenix hanceana; also, observation of the distribution of seedling was carried out.
