Summary: | 碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 中國音樂學系 === 104 === Ma Shui-lung is the most famous composer in Taiwan, whose works include wind music, chamber music and instrumental solo compositions. Among these, Pang-ti Concerto is one the popular works of Ma Shui-lung. Pang-ti Concerto is made in commission by Broadcasting Corporation of China in 1981 and hosted world premiere in Taipei Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall the same year, with the conductor of Zhang Dai-Sheng, the performances were done by Taipei Century Symphony Orchestra and the Pang-ti solo by Chen Zhong-shen.
This study gives introduction of Mr. Ma Shui-lung’s life and backgrounds, and makes understanding of creative concept and expressive emotions in composer’s works through data collection and interviews. Therefore, the hinge of the third chapter is the analysis of compositions; in fourth chapter, from the viewpoint of instrumentalists, the author makes discussions on performance techniques used in music content of compositions. Through the research results, a deeper understanding of compositions can be acquired and then be implemented into playing.
