Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 韓國語文學系 === 104 === Learning foreign languages, we not only learn grammars, vocabularies and foreign cultures, but also learning how to pronounce correctly. Therefore, I think speaking with neutral accent or correct pronunciation is also an important thing. If we don't improve our pronunciation, during the conversations we speak with incorrectly accent, it might lead to some mistakes also we couldn't express our thoughts correctly and properly. It also would cause confusions and lead to misunderstandings. But before learning foreign languages well, I think understanding our mother language is also an important thing. This essay was written for Taiwanese people who are interested in learning Korean or who are both interesting Chinese and Korean. And Chinese phonetic system isn't focus on ‘Hanyu Pinyin’.It's focus on ‘Bopomofo’that is only being used in Taiwan. The aim of this thesis is about the phonological differences between Chinese and Korean. In chapter I, I wrote about the aim of my essay and the necessity of this study. Also I wrote about previous studies that had been analyzed. I found that the studies of phoneme or phonological are basically written for teaching or analysed the errors. Only focusing on one language isn't that much. But I think it's also important topic to focus on. In chapter II, I compared the differences of phoneme of Chinese and Korean. Not only compared each letters of Chinese and Korean, but also compared the same points and different points that based on the pronunciation of both languages. In chapter III, I compared the basic syllables between Chinese and Korean. Moreover, I also analyzed the phonological change in Chinese and Korean. And due to this essay is basically focus on Taiwanese Korean learners, I also listed some words that in Min Nan or Southern Min which pronunciation is very similar with Korean pronunciation. I think it'll be helpful for Taiwanese Korean learners. Based on chapter II to III, I found the some special points of Chinese and Korean. Therefore, in chapter IV, I pointed out and compared the special points that both appeared in Chinese and Korean. In this two languages, both of them are so different from each other but there also have some similar or different in Chinese and Korean while these two languages changing from time to time. In chapter V, I summarized the previous chapters of the thesis and presented the points left to be developed in the future studies.
