This paper develops the positioning errors test system with digital camera array in machine tools. The detection part includes the positioning error and the repeatability. The comparison of the system and the laser interferometer was completed. The system stability is about 1.0~1.5 μm. In the part of repeatability, X-axis is 3 μm, Y-axis is 3 μm and Z-axis is 4 μm. The positioning error test system with digital camera in robot was developed in this paper. It can detect the XYZ axes positioning error simultaneously. The detection part includes the repeatability.
