The agents of the bureau of social affairs usually deal with domestic violence case using a TIPVDA scores to rate the degree of risk of the victim. For social workers, it is very important to explore the potential factors of high risk cases. In this study, we us the data files come from the social Bureau of Nantou Government to explore the potential factors of high risk cases. Thanks to the powerful analysis capability of data mining methodology, we want to know if they are also good to the problem of social problems. We use a decision tree algorithm to find their potential factors of the cases of high risk and those of low risk. In addition, we also use apriori algorithm (a kind of methods to associative rules) to analysis of the factors associated with these cases. Our results show that data mining techniques in the analysis of the social problems may be applicability.
