| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立聯合大學 === 資訊工程學系碩士班 === 104 === Nowadays, with the advancement of multimedia technology, developments of mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets are extremely rapid. As various handheld devices are different sizes, and the traditional methods, linear scaling and simple cropping, are likely to distort and discard visual information, more advanced schemes are needed to improve the visual quality by taking the content of images and videos into account. This dissertation aims at improving the graph cuts algorithm through the use of both forward and backward energies for video retargeting. Experimental results show that the proposed video retargeting system can effectively reduce the cause of artifacts.
