Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄大學 === 亞太工商管理學系碩士班 === 104 === The present study examined the relationship of sleep trouble (ST) with perceived health status (HS) for middle age and older adults. Participants were from the MIDUS Ⅱ study (Midlife in the United States) recruited in 2004-2006 (Mean age=55.97; N=3946). Hierarchical multiple regression was performed with HS as the dependent variable, along with ST as the independent variable. The study revealed that HS was strongly related to ST, while controlling gender, year of birth and level of education completed as covariates. In addition, different results were achieved in older versus younger groups, in female versus male groups and in lower versus higher levels of education completed. Older female participants with a lower level of education completed had more sleep trouble and worse perceived health status.
