| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 管理研究所 === 104 === In recent years, social enterprise in the world has become a trend, but the development has been limited due to the laws and regulations in Taiwan. Compared to Europe and America, it hasn't fully developed here yet, so it's still an emerging concept. With the coming of the Internet era, traditional social enterprise is facing difficulties of transition or strive to develop in order to adapt to this new application.
iLohas is the first social enterprise that trying to solve the problem of the digital divide, and they're the first social enterprise in the IT industry. iLohas mainly provides technology and marketing consulting services, and focuses on assisting small farmers and NPO organizations to increase their marketing capability to be in line with the international practice. They used technology tools to strengthen the linkage between welfare organizations and committed to promoting fair trade, then allowed social enterprises growing up.
This study uses the method of in-depth interviewing to understand the current situation and difficulties through access the founder of iLohas, Mr. Chang. We organized and extracted the contents of the interviews to summarize and brought into the theory by the phenomenon that appears in the case. We summarized the three major management implications and applications, they're 1. Internet era of social enterprise 2. Business model of iLohas 3. Research Methods of social enterprises and subsequent reference. We further aggregated other related theory and extending the related issues.The study provides a basis for reference to the same type of social enterprises or someone who intends to create new social enterprises.
