Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 科技管理所 === 104 === Nowadays, many scholars usually have academic research collaboration with other scholars in different field or countries. Through the collaboration, scholars can share knowledge、research equipment and experience with each other and build relations among these scholars. As more as relationships are created by every collaboration, scholars will gain more relational capital. It’s worthy to discuss whether the scholars have more relational capital to enhance their research impact as well. This study aims to discuss the correlation between relational capital and the scholar’s research impact. This study collects 973 data from Web of Science database to construct the coauthor network, citation network and author citation network. From these three networks, we can acquire the index of relational capital and scholar’s research impacts as independent variable and use the method of Regression Analysis to discuss the correlation between relational capital and scholar’s research impacts. This study finds that the research’s impact of scholars will be increased when they have more relational capital and times of cross-countries collaboration. In another word, the scholars can enhance their research impacts by collaboration with other scholars especially from different countries. The methods of this study can be applied to other academic research fields to examine the importance of relational capital.
