Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 資訊工程學研究所 === 104 === Operators consume more spectrums to provide service because mobile devices become more and more popular. Spectrum is the scarce and expensive resource. 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) decides to improve spectrum efficiency by frequency reuse starting from Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA), which means every base station operates on the same frequency. But the side effect is inter-cell interference at cell edge. Therefore, Inter-cell interference coordination (ICIC) was proposed on Long Term Evolution Advanced (LTE-A) to solve this issue. This mechanism reserves the resource blocks (RBs) used by neighboring cell at cell edge. However, it reduces the spectrum efficiency at cell edge. Coordinated Multi Point Joint Transmission (CoMP JT) is a solution to this problem. To achieve higher SNR and throughput, which transmits data to cell edge user by reserved neighboring RBs. But delivering data to those cells pose the traffic burden on backhaul. Video streaming is major traffic nowadays, and Cisco predicts it will reach 70% of total traffic in the future. Cache on cell is a trend in the near future. By taking cache into consideration, bad CoMP JT cluster decision could waste resource on backhaul. In this thesis, we propose a method to select CoMP JT set with RB constraint and cached data to minimize the backhaul traffic consumption. We also provide an implementation example, a content delivery network like (CDN-like) mechanism, to content provider for putting data in cell cache. Our contribution is we proposed a new cache mechanism which can cooperate with our heuristic algorithm to reach our goal.
