It adopts the two-cycle model of action research and the philosophy, spirit and implementation ways of on-site teaching to conduct action research into enhancing reading ability of third graders in elementary schools by integrating mobile learning and reading comprehension. The objectives of this teaching action research are four-fold: 1) To explore the current paper reading teaching methods for third graders in elementary schools; 2) To enhance the students' reading behavior in the teaching course of integrating mobile learning and reading comprehension; 3) To probe into the implementation process of integrating mobile learning and reading comprehension; 4) To put forward study conclusions and suggestions based on the findings in order to provide reference for teaching of integrating mobile learning and reading comprehension in the future. This study lasted for 4 months from February 2016 to the end of May 2016, and carried out a 16-week curriculum of integrating mobile learning and reading comprehension. It experienced five stages of action research including "identifying problems", "looking into problems", "formulating and implementing action plans", "selecting methods and analyzing data" and "making conclusions and contemplation". Meanwhile, it also experienced two-cycle study processes of action research, that is, plan - action - contemplation and re-plan - re-action - re-contemplation. Also, it inspected and corrected its teaching strategies. The findings of this study are as follows: 1) The worksheets in paper reading teaching trouble the students who are poor in writing; 2) Integrating mobile learning and reading teaching can improve the students' reading motivation and help them to acquire various reading strategies: 3) Integrating mobile learning and reading teaching indirectly changes students' attitude of using mobile learning, and teachers can correct paper reading teaching through mobile learning, so teaching and study complement each other, hence encouraging mutual growth of teaching and learning; 4) Promotion of integrating mobile learning and reading teaching and suggestions on the future study are proposed based on the findings of this study.
