Summary:碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 兒童文學研究所 === 104 === Cultivates The Habit of Reading Malaysia Chinese Children Literatures — A Case study of Chinese Primary School Grade Six Students Koay Suat Erh Abstract The main focus of this research was based on a case study of Malaysia Chinese Primary School Grade Six Students to investigating the effectiveness of Malaysia Reading Programs. In recent years, it becomes a phenomenon that Malaysia’s Children Literatures, such as novels and comics getting popular among the school students. Some of the novels been introduced in China bookstores. That showing a good sign for developing the Children Literatures and fictions in Malaysia. The study was adopted the Questionnaire & Analysis Method by compiled the 100 questionnaires from the Selangor Primary School Grade Six Students in order to understand the reading trend of Children Literatures. Beside that, questionnaires of 121 consumers between the ages of twenty to sixty-year-old were collected to observe their spending habits for books. Researcher also conducted few face-to-face interviews with six primary school teachers, bookseller and publisher to get the suggestions for cultivating the reading habits among Malaysian Children. Wish that the final results and conclusions of the study might help in promoting the Malaysia reading programs in future.
