碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 資訊管理研究所 === 104 === The increasing in concentration of the population towards urban cities is due to the modernization of industrial and commercial sectors of society. Therefore, there is increase in public concern towards the increasing fire risks in these sectors. Consequently, an improvement of fire regulations and protocols are required along with public education of fire hazards and safety procedures. Furthermore, with the improving quality of life in urban society and diverse building engineering, the concern for fires are more serious. As a result, fire department conducted a statistic analysis to compare records of fire prevention and improvement of fire policies. However, it has become difficult to relay the information due to the policies being documented in paper. The technology of data visualization improves the analysis of the data presented to fire departments. In this study, we conducted our research with the New Taipei City fire department to gather data using literature reviews and expert interviews. Through these methods, we aimed to gather actual dispatch data and designed a data visualization aided analysis system to convert the data into charts to provide information regarding fire prevention and resource allocation.
