| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 社會學系 === 104 === The goal of this study is to investigate the difference between students in Tainan city and New Taipei city on personal information, social capital, teaching style, social network and other factors, and to study if these factors influence students’ expection of educational years.
Adapted self- made questionnaire and collected data from junior high schools in Tainan city and New Taipei City, 792 effective samples were used in this study. The acquired data are then processed by descriptive analysis, t-test, Pearson’s product- moment correlation, and multiple regression.
The results of the study are as follows：
1. The expectation of educational years in Tainan is longer than that is New Taipei city.
2. The factors that influence the expectation of educational years of students in Tainan are family income, father’s education level, educational investment, achievement aspiration and academic achievement.
3. The factors that influence the expectation of educational years of students in New Taipei city are grade, mother’s education level ,achievement aspiration and academic achievement.
