Based on information gathered from in-depth interview conducted to 14 student athletes, this study explores how these student athletes adapt to their college life. The results show that most student athletes do have some learning difficulties at the early stage of their college years due to their lack of academic training in the previous schooling experience, but the situation improved as they move on in their college career. Our study also indicates that since most student athletes have managed to change their dual identity to a single student identity, so the conflicting role expectation was being lessened. Most interviewees, however, also suggest their athletic career has not being advanced along their college schooling. Sen,Yow-Suen 沈幼蓀 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 51 zh-TW |
